What is Powder Coating?

Powder coating is a multi-step, high-tech process that applies an ultra-durable protective layer to the wheel surface. Thanks to cutting-edge SPS control technology and automation, we achieve unparalleled efficiency and sustainability. Beyond classic powder coating, we also offer a high-gloss polished finish, delivering a mirror-like shine on request!

Step 1: Preparation & Pre-Treatment

For flawless coating results, meticulous preparation is essential. Painted wheels undergo a chemical stripping process, while uncoated wheels move directly into the smoothing phase.

First, the wheels are glass bead blasted to remove impurities.
Then, they go through a two-stage vibratory grinding process:
- Coarse grinding removes burrs.
- Fine grinding ensures a perfectly smooth surface.

For special finishes, we intensify the process to achieve a mirror-like, high-gloss look!

Step 2: The Powder Coating Process

In a sterile environment, the prepped wheels undergo our cutting-edge coating process.

Electrostatically charged powder is applied in up to three layers for maximum durability.
Each layer is carefully inspected to ensure a flawless finish.
The coated wheels are then cured in high-temperature ovens, creating an ultra-durable, long-lasting surface.

Step 3: Marking & Quality Control (QC)

After coating, each wheel receives a permanent laser engraving, certifying the authenticity and quality of the WF powder coating.

The engraving includes the production date and specifications for full traceability.
